As disturbing as this is, i found it pretty funny that the racist redneck who did this used a "Dastar", which is what Sikhs wear. And has nothing to do with Arabs or Muslims....

Just goes to show how uneducated Racists truly are. Reminds me of that guy in Florida with the sign that read "Obama is a half-breed Muslin" The local news interviewed the guy, and he had no clue that Muslin is a fabric, and Muslim is the religion...-

I agree. Racism comes from fear and ignorance, just like the hate that feeds it. Oh, yeah, and Fox News.

The really sad part is that by now this is not surprising at all. This is what I've come to expect from the Republicans. Do Americans care at all what kind of image they project about themselves around the globe?

We have our elections right now, and it has its minor mud-slinging and occasional slip-ups and ridicule too, but nothing on this scale. I guess everything is larger than life in the US, even bigotry. -

Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black. Racism knows no color. There are White racist,Black racist,Brown racist, ECT. To some it is a hatred, to some it is distrust, and to others it is a tool of deceit. The last thing the USA needs at this time is an Amateur. There is no time for on the job training. More Socialist debt is definitely not what we need. Research what and who you vote for, check your resources, do not buy into the hype, think and reason for yourself. Being what one "guppy" called an old f*rt, I have already survived this type situation, and really shiver at the thought of having to go through it again. Therefore the inexperience definitely concerns me. The Socialist leaning is a big red flag. His record shows nothing to recommend him. Pretty words and rhetoric may soothe the soul but do nothing to solve problems.

Thats exactly what you had for the past 8 years and from a C- student. when you speak of Racist that label falls squarely on the shoulders of whites .This presidential race shouldn't be about race ,rather it should be about who can best lead your country out of the mess that's its in ,but because most americans can't see past the race issue ,it will all come down to this "SAD" "ONLY IN america"

We already have socialized roads and highways. We have socialized sewers, water and garbage pickup. We have socialized schools. We have socialized police, fire protection, military, and prosecutors. We have socialized air traffic control and national parks. We have socialized banking (as of today). We have socialized radio/tv spectrum… The list goes on and on.
Reply
Whether you like it or not, and you use any of these things above, you are already a socialist.
You can always send back your social security to show you aren't a socialist. Let us know how many times you sent the check back to the US government. OH, and don't forget to withdraw from Medicare. -

Because of small government and lack of oversight we're paying for one of the biggest socialized bail outs in history. Not to mention the nearly trillion dumped into Iraq. Republicans like to privatize profit and socialize loss. I think you need to do a little research yourself. America had a higher standard of living before the supply siders took over. We only managed to keep pace because women entered the work force in greater numbers. Meanwhile the top 10% got a three fold increase. Maybe you don't mind serfdom but the rest of us are angry and ready for a change. Republicans are on their way out.

Amervtrn, what you do not need is another corporate socialist in power who graduated at the bottom of his class. In case you have a short memory you have just barely survived the last idiot in charge. It is high time you elected an intellectual to fix this mess although it may already be too late.

Well, it seems that part of the GOP is also aghast at the Palin wing and at McCain for letting that wing run over him.

Republican leaders break ranks with McCain
Senior members of the Republican party are in open mutiny against John McCain's presidential campaign, after a disastrous period which has seen Barack Obama solidify his lead in the opinion polls.
...From inside and outside his inner circle, Mr McCain is being told to settle on a coherent economic message and to tone down attacks on his rival which have sometimes whipped up a mob-like atmosphere at Republican rallies.
Two former rivals for the party nomination, Mitt Romney and Tommy Thompson, went on the record over the weekend about the disarray in the Republican camp. And a string of other senior party figures said Mr McCain's erratic performance risks taking the party down to heavy losses not just in the presidential race but also in contests for Congressional seats....
Some Republicans seeking election to Congress have begun distancing themselves from Mr McCain. In Nebraska, a Republican representative, Lee Terry, ran a newspaper ad featuring support from a woman who called herself an "Obama-Terry voter". ....

I agree about the responsibility part, however, I think this is best left as a personal choice, not one to be mandated or enforced by the government.

The same people who see nothing wrong with this sign are the same ones who keep imploring McCain to 'take the gloves off'. You can see McCain wince at those words at one of his rallies because he knows that's code for 'let's start playing dirty because we are falling behind in the polls'. Palin has evidently said to McCain...that's all right John, give me that mud bucket, I know what to do with it.

For a certain percentage of the Republican base ... the their support for the Republican Party is the fact that Republicans fought tooth and nail against desegregation in the south.
Reply
Oh sure, there were people like George Wallace and other 'so called' Democrats ... but everyone in the nation referred to them as 'Dixie-Crats' ... and were essentially Republicans on all social issues.
Changing these attitudes takes GENERATIONS.
But aside from that ... I wanted to point out that our fellow Propeller member Beau7890 has discovered a FASCINATING story that uncovers the SOURCE for much of the Lies about Obama that Republicans have glommed onto.
I strongly urge all of you to check it out.

Hope you haven't missed Limbaugh continually referring to Obama as a "skinny, little, man-child"! Of course that is just neo-redneck code for calling him BOY. Racism at its least discrete. But those like Limbaugh don't care. They don't care about what is good for the nation instead their aim is to further enrich themselves. Hatred sells and they know it. When Limbaugh tells his listeners Obama will raise their taxes does he really believe that is the truth? Does he really believe the majority of his listeners earn over $100,000 a year? Of course he is worried about his own evergrowing pile of cash. What exactly does one individual do with more than 20 million a year? His salary is as obscene as anyone on Wall Street. And he actually does less work than a hedge fund manager.

The Repubs really showed their true colors when McCain asked they show respect to his opponent. They bleated like the proles during the Ten Minute Hate which has become a 24 hour event to many. Mccain is not Big Brother, he doesn't want to be. But his supporters are looking for that person and oddly they have settled on a bespectacled, creationist, mother of five. Even stranger is that she could fit the bill.

second, there's a woman in that group calling Palin a c*nt, so already you have a difference. and how Obama and Biden would react to this is pure speculation. but my guess is that they wouldn't react to kindly to this diplay.
on the other hand, we heard yells to kill Obama at a GOP rally and the candidates did absolutely nothing about it.
I'm glad McCain started to come to his senses and tell people they were wrong. It showed us all that there is at least a bit of integirty left in the man. -

From my research, the property the bill board sits on belongs to Ronnie Ford. Some sources said neighbors watched as Ford put it up.

Another clown who shows no respect for free speech. The founders intended it to protect Americans from backlashes for speaking their minds about government. They certainly didn't intend it to be used to act like an ass. But leave it to a CON to demean that intent.

Yeah, that DID sound a bit racist. I meant to say "he's DARK in color" (which he is), NOT "he's A dark in color". Still, though, I still believe he's a Muslim...not that there is anything WRONG with that...unless he sees "no compulsion in religion" abrogated by Quran 9:1-5 and 9:29...which I don't think he does. The thng WE have to worry about, though, is that, HOW much will he appease terrorists IF he's a Muslim, which I believe he is. By the way, I'm not a motherfu'cker, I'm a mother LOVER. And, I can hear QUITE well, thank you. :)
