Paris Hilton may think John McCain is just a wrinkly white-haired guy, but the Republican presidential candidate apparently has figured out the younger generation just fine. Over the past two weeks, his celebrity attacks have stomped Democratic presidential opponent Sen. Barack Obama in YouTube hits.

Mr. McCain has pumped out a series of brutal yet entertaining attack ads and Web videos mocking the press and Mr. Obama, and the combination of wit and insult has pushed his YouTube channel to the sixth most watched on the site this week. Mr. McCain has beat Mr. Obama's channel for seven straight days and 11 of the past 14 days, in a signal he intends to compete for the YouTube vote.

I am very worried about Obama being able to win in Nov, I have been a VERY early supporter, but now am questioning his judgement. He has the opportunity for an unbeatable dream ticket w Oboma/Clinton, but is letting ego srtand in the way of winning. If Hillary is not on his ticket for VP, then he'd better be prepared to lose......Only two positions he can offer her #1 VP,,or #2 cabinet position of health care, either way it needs to be announced at the convention and/or sooner to save his chanaced.Hillary is a great attack dog and con get out there and put down all the dirt, before McCain buries him in it!

You seem to admit here that the two are a quite different thing. You fools will do anything to keep Corporate America in charge. Obama is no messiah, no quick cure for everything. But he is certainly better than staying the course, continuing to run massive deficits, while borrowing funding for overseas ventures like Iraq.
And it is quite clear that your greatest fear is that of intellectualism. It clearly befuddles you. Therefore you lash out. The iraqi's have used us as babysitters but if (not the neocon plan), or when we leave they will resort to their old violent ways. The core problem is that Iraq is truly a nation divided, always has been. We can't solve that, other than partition the communities as we did in the Surge. If they can't get at each other the violence ebbs as we now see. But that will not last. Still a massive number of scores to be settled.

"I can't believe you guys aren't looking a little deeper on this. As a "young person" (circa 1990) i can tell you why mccain's video is getting hits. I'll "break it down" for ya free from net jargon:
1. It's "stupid-funny". A lot of videos get looked at by people passing links saying "omg, you'll nvr guess wut mccain did..." I mean come on, Obama = Paris? No one is like ms. hilton, for good or bad she is unique. It's "lulz worthy" as they say.
2. He mentioned Britney, and Paris! Remember that kid who cried and said "leave britney alone"? Same thing, the videos virality is based on interest in the celebrity, not the cam*****.
3. He mentioned Obama. Anything with a "Barack Obama" tag is sure to get hits".-

When the same kind of hollywood spin and productions are used to make girls with no talent famous on a campaign for a candidate with absolutely no national record trying to be president there is correlation. Say what you want, it is what it is. Obama is a politician and you can try and dress him up in all the rhetoric you want but he is what he is. Yes. And they'll film a sitcom about it. It will be the first reality-TV series featuring a sitting president (or squatting, or whatever it is Paris does). Like 'The Simple Life', the 'Oval Life' will be a fish-out-of-water story about the struggles to learn in a completely foreign environment where pants and a basic understanding of geography are requirements.
